11 years later comes a timeless video by Pedros Temizian for the first OkyDoky song ever written. The Problem with Robots (previously called “I am a Robot - part I”, not to be confused with “I am a Robot - part II", released on Ruptured in 2011) completes the release of OkyDoky’s early work cataloging an obsession with the robot as a metaphor for extension of the creative self through machines.
In a brilliant juxtaposition of gifs, Temizian’s low budget wizardry accompanies the track’s story of a Kafkaesque awareness of one having suddenly become an unthinking, unfeeling machine. Followed by the sad realization that the invention literally embodying humanity’s sense of technological advancement is really just a pathetic and futile beta version of itself.
